Dave is a land development, tourism and hospitality specialist who has provided consulting and development services to public and private sector clients in Canada and over 25 countires in the Americas, Caribbean, Middle East and Aftrica. Widely recognized as a tourism development specialist, he is also an experienced community planner, with a particular sensitivity to ensuring that destination projects contribute to the quality of life in communities in which they are located. He recently formed Leisurescape with financing and project management partners to pursue resort and destination development projects and joint ventures in North America and the Caribbean. Dave has a BA (Econ.) from Carlton University and obtained a Master’s degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania in 1975.
Jordan is a development consultant with a focus on large and complex projects. He has worked on a diversity of commercial, residential, and institutional projects as a cost consultant, LEED/green building consultant, and development manager. Most recently Jordan was a manager of the Westhills development, a 500-acre mixed-use project in Langford, BC. Jordan played a crucial role in the planning and successful rezoning of the property, which gave approval for approximately 6000 residential units and up to 4 million square feet of commercial space. His familiarity with master development agreements, local bylaws, and development permits bring clarity to the complex development environment.
Jordan takes a pragmatic approach the development planning and approval process. He finds complementary sustainability and cost planning strategies that help gain the support of approving authorities and other stakeholders and maximize project value. He holds a B.Sc. in Geography from the University of Victoria and is LEED Accredited Professional. Jordan is an active member of the green building community and is the current Chair of the Vancouver Island Branch of the Green Building Council.
Andrea is an experienced project manager in the field of real estate development and has a diverse background in business and marketing. Most recently she has been working extensively in the development of large residential and commercial real estate projects. Her international experience includes working for a large urban planning and construction company in Germany, and for several corporate marketing projects as a research analyst.
Andrea holds a BCom majoring marketing and operations research and is currently working towards a diploma in Architectural and Building Engineering Technology.
Andrea brings to the Klio team her skills in analyzing the current market and the financial feasibility for potential real estate projects. Andrea is apt at defining the project scope, setting design standards, and strategizing the development plan.
